Cost

  • Year 1: $24,200 for 22 days of professional development. (Includes a two day "The Role of the Leader in Literacy" training for administrators.)
  • Year 2: $17,600 for 16 days of professional development.
  • Year 3: $12,100 for 11 days of professional development.

When the total number of teachers at a school exceeds 30, an additional materials fee is assessed. If additional trainers are needed due to excessive staff numbers, arrangements can be made with the Director of the Missouri Reading Initiative for a supplemental fee.

Payment for each year of service is due August 1st. Schools may use professional development funds, Title I funds, Title II (Eisenhower) funds, and/or other sources to pay for the Missouri Reading Initiative training.

Deadline:
The deadline for receipt of the School Application form and the Individual Willingness to Participate forms is the first Friday in March.
