Keith Haseltine
Having started his 30-year teaching career as a secondary social studies teacher, Keith soon became intrigued with why so many of his students struggled with reading and writing in his content field. Returning to graduate school with a focus in special education and reading led to insights about how to support students who lack literacy proficiency. From his early career working as a special education educator to becoming a reading specialist, early interventionist, and Reading Recovery educator Keith has always received great satisfaction in the “aha” moments his students had in their learning journey. Keith has a master’s degree in Learning Disabilities, a master’s degree in Intellectual Disabilities, and a master’s degree in Reading. He has his Reading Certification and taught reading at the elementary and middle school level.
